How to reach Mamanikunnu

Irikkur is a small but ancient town in Taliparamba Taluk of Kannur District. It is equidistant from Tellicherry and Cannanore about 35 km away to the east. People alighting at any railway station can go to the bus-stand nearby and take a bus to Irikkur. Buses are plying between Irikkur and the two towns every now and then. People from south can alight at Tellicherry. After crossing the Irikkur Bridge all buses will stop to enable the devotees going to the temple to get down. From there it is only a few yards walk to reach the temple.

People coming from Coorg (Karnataka) have to down at Iritty and take a bus to Irikkur.

Devotees who are suffering from the effects of their own evils deeds, or failure of actions; persons suffering from the effects of the evils eye; persons who confront obstacles in matters like marriage, business, education etc usually get this performed at the temple and get difficulties removed.

There are other deities in the temple complex, namely Mahasivam, Kshetrapalan and Dhrmasastha, each having a separate Sanctum sanctorum.

The devotees who want to perform Mari Sathambhanam has to go to the temple tank, take a bath or wash face and feet, go to the temple counter and pay the necessary fees for the offering and for the Pushpanjali, take the coconut he has brought/bought from the temple, pray at the four Shree Kovils and with the Prasadam go to the place where Mari Sthambham is to performed. There he will be given the necessary directions by the priest to complete the offering.
